Telekom Slovenije Group Wins Four Effie Awards for Effective Marketing Communications Portoro, 21 March Yesterday the Effie 2012 awards were conferred in Portoro as part of the Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF), and the Telekom Slovenije Group received four awards for projects carried out in the past two years. Telekom Slovenije won a golden Effie award, which is the most prestigious recognition in marketing communications and effectiveness, for its It Is Nice to Believe project. It also received two silver Effie awards for the Business Is a Game and Itak Digital ELR platform projects, and a bronze Effie award for TSmedia's She Gave Me a Kiss project. The SiOL TViN project was also among the finalists. Telekom Slovenije also received the most prestigious award for the most effective advertiser.
Telekom Slovenije's marketing director Simon Furlan said: I'm proud we received the award for the most effective advertiser and a number of other Effie awards. This serves as the best proof that our excellent team chose the right direction for development. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this award, both Telekom employees and the agencies that have supported us on this path.
The It Is Nice to Believe campaign received a golden Effie. The campaign ushered in Telekom Slovenije's traditional holiday promotional offer and the extremely popular 2012 Mobitel price plan. The carefully planned and conducted campaign, with its Christmas fairytale, characteristic music, and holiday warmth conquered people's hearts and exceeded the expected goals. This put it among the leading Slovenian telecommunications operator's most recognizable and successful campaigns.
The Business Is a Game campaign, which won a silver Effie, was designed to communicate with Telekom's business users. The converged services of the merged companies Telekom Slovenije and Mobitel have allowed us to design a comprehensive range of telecommunication services, which bring numerous advantages also to small companies. With an intricate and comprehensive communication platform and by engaging members of the target group as the protagonists of the campaign, Telekom Slovenije successfully communicated the advantages of its offer to the target group, wove the message into a homogeneous story, and exceeded all marketing and sales goals.
The Itak Digital ELP platform campaign targeted young users by presenting Itak as the brand that provides young people with everything they care about, and as an important part of their lives. It set the digital world as the basis for a loyalty platform that builds on the organic engagement of young people in a relationship with the brand. From 2009 to 2012 Telekom Slovenije became one of the first companies in Slovenia that managed to create a community of users loyal to a brand, and to this day it has preserved the competitive edge and positive perception of its Itak brand among young people.
The She Gave Me a Kiss campaign announced the merger between the www.siol.net online and Planet mobile portals into one media outlet named Planet Siol.net. The joint media outlet is available to users on five different screens (on classical computer screens, mobile phones, outdoor digital displays, tablets, and IP TV), and the user experience is adjusted to each screen type. After the strategically planned launch of its new look and content, Planet Siol.net became the leading Slovenia digital media outlet in an extremely short amount of time, while still successfully meeting its new business goals.
Effie is the most prestigious award for marketing communication effectiveness in Slovenia, and advertisers believe that winning it is the best possible recognition for one's work. The Effie awards are conferred by a jury to advertisers and agencies, which pass a managed application procedure and a two-level assessment and, with arguments and without doubt, demonstrate a direct link between marketing communications and achieving and even exceeding set communication and business goals.
