SiOL Beta Club Wins an Award for Excellence in Communications Ljubljana, 4 April The SiOL Beta Club project, a product of collaboration between Telekom Slovenije and Renderspace, won an EMErald Award of Excellence from IABC in the customer relations category.
SiOL Beta Club is a website where Telekom Slovenije offers its users the opportunity of beta testing new SiOL services before they are released on the market. The site also has descriptions of services which are currently being tested, services which have just passed the beta phase, and other services which are still in the works. Users can compete on the website for the opportunity of beta testing individual services, and can also write reports on the results of their tests of individual services. After editing, these reports were published. Anyone who has a user name and password for Moj Telekom can apply. Telekom Slovenije is using this project to take a step closer to its users and offer them the chance to collaborate in the development of its services.
The Emerald award is conferred by the local chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and projects from all over Europe, Africa, and the Middle East were competing. Submissions must be supported by evidence which attests to the veracity of the individual project. SiOL Beta Club is also competing for the Gold Quill, which IABC awards every year at the global level to those whose programs and projects meet the highest standards of professionalism and expertise.
