Cage the camera. Not your options. The F&V BMC Cage.
Sep 242013
The only thing you can cage is the camera. Sky's the limit for everything else.
Arguably some of the most radical new designs the industry has seen in the past few years are the Blackmagic Cinema Cameras. That said, with a new design comes all the great gear to accommodate it. Enter the F&V Blackmagic Camera Cage. And we are happy to say this new cage system for these amazing cameras will be arriving in the coming the weeks.
With an array of 1/4 -20 & 3/8 -16 mounting points, it is quick and simple to incorporate accessories with the cage like EVFs, monitors, recorders & handgrips. Constructed from CNC aircraft-grade aluminum, the unit comes in at 2lbs max. with the advanced kit which includes the top grip (-See Above-). Maintaining the durability of the cage was a must as was increased functionality with a plethora of accessories. Fortunately it seems all the i's and t's were dotted and crossed. We can't wait to see what folks start producing with this new guy.
If you'd like to get your hands on the BMC Cage, feel free to check us out at booth #475 at PhotoPlus in New York City, October 24-26, 2013. We'd love for you to get your stop by and see what it's all about firsthand.
