THIS MONTH SEE THE CHILD. CHANGE THE SYSTEM The See the Child. Change the System.' campaign got off to a great start last month with press coverage in several major national newspapers and a televised interview with Camila on BBC news. Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition so far and encouraged others to do the same, we are already on nearly 17,500 signatures! We need your help to maintain momentum and boost this figure even more; we really need the public behind this campaign if we are going to make the government commit to real change. We are asking for at least 100 volunteers all over the UK to support the campaign by handing out flyers and galvanising support within local communities. Please email seethechild@kidsco.org.uk if you'd like more information on how you can get involved and if you'd like to be sent some flyers. COMING UP Heading to Wilderness or Somersault festival? Event Date: 7th - 10th August 2014 This Summer Mortimer Nannies will be returning to Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire and attending the brand new Somersault festival in Devon. Taking a team of their best Nannies, Mortimer Nannies will be providing an onsite Cr che and babysitting service for the children of festival goers. All proceeds raised from both weekends will be donated to Kids Company. DATES FOR THE DIARY LONDON TO BRIGHTON CYCLE CHALLENGE Event Date: Sunday 7 September The London to Brighton cycle is a fantastic bike ride from the heart of London to the coast of Brighton. Join over 1000 like-minded individuals who are all raising funds for charity, taking on this exciting challenge and having a brilliant day! Registration fee: £35 Suggested Sponsorship: £100 PICO ANETO - PYRENEES Event Dates: Friday 26th - Sunday 28th September 2014 Join Kids Company on our attempt to conquer the highest peak in the Pyrenees at 3404m! A two-day spring ascent promises glorious weather and a sprinkling of snow cover on the glacier meaning ice axes, crampons and ropes will be necessary. The final ascent will begin by torchlight as we head for the gullies and then on to the eventual steep, airy traverse to the peak.
