Adder extends its relationship with digital signage market at ISE
22/01/2013
In an ISE exclusive, Adder will introduce the XD-500 a dual-head, point to point, displayport (DP++) extender that carries Hi Speed USB alongside analogue and digital (SPDIF) audio. The company will also showcase the CCS-XB light module, a new add-on for CCS4USB FreeFlow Command and Control switch for use with USB peripherals. CCS4USB enables an operator to switch seamlessly between several computers using a single keyboard and mouse, the CCS-XB improves usability by making it easier and more intuitive for users to identify which screen their mouse pointer is on.
Adder will also run a technology preview of its upcoming HDMI point to multi-point extender on its stand. The new technology is able to intelligently interrogate its own network to determine if specific content is being displayed on connected screens. This will give advertising networks the option to offer new payment structures to customers, allowing them to charge on a more accurate proof of display (P.O.D.) basis.
Also on show for the first time will be the new VNC (virtual network computing) capability for the AdderLink Infinity network DVI extender. This provides a proven method for users to view their content anywhere in the world via an internet connection, giving full control for management of each connected computer. This dual output feature is extremely useful when designing control rooms as the same information can be sent directly to a user station and at the same time be sent via the VNC protocol to a Video wall controller for display on a much larger screen. This vastly simplifies the infrastructure and cost of an installation.
The company will offer a range of new product demonstrations on its stand; these will include an example of how the AdderLink Infinity can be used to manage digital signage applications using a demonstration of their open API interface. All video on the stand can be controlled through an interactive touchscreen application to showcase the new application programming interface for AdderLink Infinity. This gives system integrators and installers a simple but invaluable tool to create bespoke interfaces for clients to control multiple displays, which can be built via a standard webpage.
Adder will also be co-exhibiting with Scala, the leading digital signage software vendor, to present its range of signage and interactive extenders on its booth, 10-N129. Integrated Systems Europe takes place at the RAI in Amsterdam and runs between 29 and 31January.
