Thinking of Launching a Podcast? Let Our New Guide Show You How
20/12/2024
Ivan brings a wealth of experience to the table. A marketing and IT professional, he's the founder of Burek forum, one of the largest online communities in the Balkan region with over 2 million users. He's also a self-made entrepreneur and the host and editor of Poja alo, a podcast on entrepreneurship with an audience of up to 5,000 subscribers.
When asked about his goals for the guide, Ivan explained: This guide is my way to consolidate knowledge - from technical setup to marketing strategies - into a single, actionable resource. I want to empower others to confidently navigate the challenges of starting and sustaining a podcast.
Actionable steps Ivan's guide skips the overcomplicated theories and focuses on actionable steps, from crafting the concept to producing high-quality episodes on a budget. The journey begins with two key questions: Who is your audience?' and What do you want your podcast to achieve?'
It then moves on to cover everything from planning episodes to setting up an affordable recording space, optimising sound, and conducting remote interviews. If technology isn't your strength, Ivan makes the process manageable with straightforward advice on editing and scripting.
Building an Audience and Monetising Your Podcast Creating a podcast is one thing-getting people to listen is another. To address that, the guide provides strategies for promoting episodes, engaging with audiences on social media and leveraging partnerships. It also offers valuable insights into monetisation, including sponsorships and collaborations, making it an essential tool for those who want to turn podcasting into a sustainable venture.
For Ivan, many creators underestimate the effort required to keep producing after the initial excitement fades.
Successful podcasting is a marathon, not a sprint - it demands discipline, adaptability, and a clear understanding of your purpose and audience, he says. My journey has taught me that creating value and authenticity for your listeners is what keeps them coming back.
Lessons from the Real World Filled with real-world stories from podcasters who've faced the highs and lows of the industry, the guide provides tips on how to handle difficult guests, overcome technical glitches, and stay motivated through challenges. Exclusive interviews with successful creators offer further inspiration, with practical tips for tackling creative blocks, managing burnout, and developing your unique voice.
