The National Media and Infocommunications Authority according to the resolution of the European Union to realize the 'digital dividend' range continues the vacation of the 790-862 MHz (UHF channels 61 to 69) frequency band. To this end, the Authority ordered the execution of frequency changes regarding nineteen digital terrestrial television sites.
Antenna Hung ria executes the frequency changes concerning 32 frequencies in September, which will affect the reception of the free-to-air MinDig TV and the pay-TV MinDig TV Extra digital terrestrial television services. Each of the nineteen cases the frequency of the Multiplex 'C' will change, concerning the free-to-air commercial channels of MinDig TV, as well as all MinDig TV Extra channels can be found in the Basic package. Furthermore, in eleven areas of Central Transdanubia and South Great Plain the frequencies of the Multiplex 'A' will change too, affecting the free-to-air public channels of MinDig TV. At Gy r and its surroundings in two areas the frequencies of the Multiplex 'B' will change, in this Multiplex MinDig TV Extra Family package channels can be received.
In the concerned areas of the frequency changes the digital terrestrial receiver devices (DVB-T MPEG-4 set-top-box or integrated TV set) should be re-tuned after the change will be executed. At majority of the devices launch of manual re-tuning will be necessary if the viewer finds that some channels do not appear in the channel list correctly.
The frequency changes will not concern the population coverage of the digital transmitters so it is not necessary to change the position and the direction of the antenna.
The sites concerned in the frequency changes and the timing is the followings:
According to the plans of AH the retuning of the digital transmitters will be executed on the above mentioned dates, due to the works the digital transmission will be suspended for couple of hours. At the above mentioned periods the transmission of all the three Multiplexes will be suspended resulting that MinDig TV and MinDig TV Extra channels won't be available.
We apologize for the inconveniences caused by the frequency changes and thank the understanding of the concerned viewers. In connection with the changes further information can be obtained on the MinDig TV website (www.mindigtv.hu), through our toll-free Call Center (06-80-90-99-00) and on the MinDig TV Extra website at (www.mindigtvextra.hu) and Call Center (1211).
