On Thursday November 28th XTFX and The Pixel Farm will be holding a day of free remastering and restoration workshops featuring PFClean on a variety of platforms and operating systems to demonstrate its flexibility and ease-of-use. Hosted By the Pixel Farms infamous DI and Restoration Product Manager, Dan Harvey, the course will focus mainly on general principles digital restoration techniques, stepping up to a higher level in the afternoon to cover productivity, archival and remastering techniques. Whether you're a freelance or staff restoration artist, engineer, project manager or producer come along and see why PFClean has such a stranglehold on the media restoration market..

Beginner level training session: 10:00am 1:00pm
General principles of digital restoration and best practices.
Setting up projects and reviewing media to be restored, diagnosis of issues, preparation of effect stacks and effect managementFilm Restoration; use of dedicated film restoration tools, grain management, look management.
Video Restoration: Working with interlaced media, using dedicated video restoration tools
Lunch: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
A finger buffet will be provided with light refreshments.
Advanced level training session: 2:00pm 5:00pm
Boosting productivity with batch processing, automation and scripting: Advanced techniques for multi-tasking and automated restoration techniques for large-scale projects.
Conform and versioning: How to use PFClean's nonlinear timeline functionality to enable restoration in a narrative context.
Metadata management: Managing effect setups, annotating content and reporting for scheduling, planning and billing purposes.
Colour management and multi-format deliverables: Use of PFClean's Colour correction tools, LUTs, ASC-CDLs and Baselight integration for colour interchange and consistency with 3rd party applications.
Remastering for 4K: Delivering to evolving standards including Ultra HD and IIF-ACES
PFClean User Group: 5:00pm 7:00pm

Well be showing PFClean running on a range of hardware platforms and operating systems and will be on hand to answer your questions, show you restoration tips and tricks and discuss our restoration product road map in depth.
