Following the launch of the new and improved Instagram app which allows users to create and share short, 15 second videos via their social networks Amazon's LOVEFiLM has launched a nationwide competition to find the next Martin Scorsese, David Fincher or Danny Boyle.
In the first initiative of its kind, the film and TV streaming service has issued a challenge to all budding filmmakers to use the new social video app to create Tiny Trailers' for the hit U.S. cable TV show VIKINGS', available exclusively on LOVEFiLM Instant in the UK.
Fans of the hugely popular Norse action-drama are being encouraged to put their creative caps on and create 15 second summaries of the show, submitting their final entries via Twitter using the #LOVEFiLMTinyTrailers hash tag. LOVEFiLM's panel of esteemed critics will judge all entries, with the winning submission earning a free one-year subscription to LOVEFiLM as a reward.

Creating a trailer is no easy task, so cramming all of the action, drama, warfare and bloodshed of VIKINGS' into just 15 seconds is going to be really tough. We want Britain's film and TV fans to be as creative, silly or as over-the-top as they want. They can get their gran involved as an extra, their sibling as a villain, or even their cat. Whatever they do, we are looking for the brilliance and epic storylines of VIKINGS' to come across in their #LOVEFiLMTinyTrailers .
The VIKINGS' #LOVEFiLMTinyTrailers are set to be the first in a series of #LOVEFiLMTinyTrailers challenges using the Instagram app, which has over 130 million users world wide with over 1 billion likes' received on a daily basis. The first Tiny Trailer' has been created and can be found here.
