2014 Pierre Ang nieux ExcelLens in Cinematography
The ceremony took place on the occasion of the 67th Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 23rd in Bu uel theatre ( Palais des Festivals)in presence of the cinema icon Catherine Deneuve and directors Jerry Schatzberg and John Boorman.
400 persons were there to honore cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond HSC ASC' incredible career with more than 80 movies with the most prestigious directors: Jerry Schatzberg (No Small Affair,
Sweet Revenge, Scarecrow 1973 Palme d'Or), John Boorman (Deliverance), Brian de Palma (The Black Dahlia, The Bonfire of the Vanities, Blow Out, Obsession), Michael Cimino (Heaven's Gate, The Deer Hunter), Woody Allen (Melinda and Melinda, Cassandra's Dream), Steven Spielberg, Richard Donner, Robert Altman ..
Vilmos Zsigmong received from Catherine Deneuve and Pierre Andurand a brand new Ang nieux anamorphic zoom lens specially engraved at his name.
A VIP dinner at Martinez H tel followed the ceremony.
