During an evening celebrating industrial Excellence in the Saint-Etienne Montbrison region of France on Monday 18 March, Thales Angenieux officially received its Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (living heritage company) label from Arnaud Montebourg, Minister for Industrial Renewal.

The event, organised by the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry, marked the launch of the national Industry Week.

The company's know-how was also recognised during visits by Aur lie Filippetti, the French Minister of Culture and Communication and Eric Garandeau, President of the CNC (French national film authority) during an industry show organised by the French Association of Film Cinematographers on 22-23 February in Paris.

"For cinephiles, Thales Angenieux is the jewell of the French technical industry, with its high-end products used in the filming of most of the award-winning productions that are honoured annually at the C sar and Oscars ceremonies - when it is not the company itself that receives such rewards, as was the case at the Oscars in 2009 said Eric Garandeau after visiting the Thales Angenieux stand at the show. Thales Angenieux now embodies the modern engineering industry, closely combining industrial production and highly skilled craft, driven by a strong capacity for innovation and strategic international positioning.
