Helmut Kobler is one of the expert contributors to the ProVideo Coalition a site that brings together some of the industry's best writers all in one place. He's an experienced DP and cameraman based in Los Angeles, CA.
Kobler recently updated the ProVideo Coalition's review into the Litepanels Astra family for 2015. This includes the range of affordable new lights, as well as the accompanying SmartLite iOS app, which allows easy wireless control of more than 10 lights.
But that's not all Roderick Santiano, award-winning cinematographer, has also been candid about his experience using the Astra 1x1 EP Traveler Kit and Smartlite app, chronicling everything on his Notes From the Set blog from detailed illustrations on how he used them to the final effects they had on screen, including tons of behind-the-scenes must-see imagery and commentary.
