Taking Place in Madrid Dec. 2, Day-Long Conference to Offer Broadcast Clients Valuable Insight Into Managing Large Media Archives in the Cloud

ANNECY, France - Nov. 25, 2013 - Front Porch Digital, the global leader in cloud-based content storage management (CSM) solutions, today announced that Andy Hurt, the company's vice president of product management and marketing, is a featured speaker at Telef nica's Media Cloud Day in Madrid on Monday, Dec. 2. Telef nica provides cloud services for broadcast clients in Spain, Portugal, and South America based on Front Porch Digital's LYNXSM cloud-based CSM service. Taking place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Telef nica District auditorium, Media Cloud Day is an opportunity for the service provider's clients to learn about how they can manage large media archives in the cloud.

Hurt will participate in a roundtable discussion, The Digital Archive and the Cloud, in which speakers will discuss the future of digital file-based workflows over the next decade and the role of telcos in the convergence of broadcast and broadband. Participants will learn about how broadcasters in Europe and the rest of the world are managing the rapid transition to digital and broadband technologies, and about the main drivers for companies to move to a file-based, managed-service model for digital archives.

Hurt has more than 13 years of experience leading product development, management, strategy, and operations in multiple global technology organizations. He served as senior director of product development and delivery at Level 3 Communications , as senior director of product solutions at First Data, and as general manager of product operations and finance at DISH Network. Hurt has an MBA in international management from the Fisher Graduate School of International Business at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Kansas. He is certified as a New Product Development Professional from the Product Development and Management Association.
