A global provider of video delivery solutions and services has chosen ATG Broadcast to prefabricate a multiplex system as part of the extension of terrestrial digital video broadcasting services for a major European transmission service organisation.
The project will extend the number of channels on the DTT multiplex, explains ATG Broadcast Projects Manager Dave Whitaker.
We have created detailed wiring drawings from outline system schematics, produced cable schedules and commenced prefabrication.
The entire system is being assembled for scheduled completion by the end of January.
The infrastructure centres on encoders, multiplexers and monitoring and control subsystems as well as subtitlers, and an SDI router. The equipment will be located at various sites around the country.
