To transmit a DAB test stream, you need a DekTec PCIe or USB modulator (e.g. DTU-215) with StreamXpress and a DTC-376-DAB modulation license. The StreamXpress package includes a DabMux tool, that lets you multiplex one or more audio and/or transport-stream files into a EN 300 799 ETI(NI) stream.
To create a DAB recording, you can use the DTA-2131 VHF/UHF receiver card with DtGrabber+. You can record the complete ensemble as a DAB ETI stream, or you can extract an individual sub channel, e.g. an AAC audio channel.
To create your own DAB application you can use the DekTec SDK (DTAPI), which includes the Advanced Demodulator API. It uses Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology in combination with the DTA-2131-RXA receiver card. For DAB, the Advanced Demodulator API offers the following functions:
Demodulating multiple DAB sub-channels simultaneously.
Decoding of the Fast Information Channel (FIC), which carries information about the organisation of services, components and sub-channels.
Sophisticated RF-signal measurements like constellation diagram, impulse response, spectrum and transfer function.
