KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will release seven new models of every brand au has carried in the au Summer 2015 smartphone lineup. The lineup consists of aus original models such as isai vivid, HTC J butterfly, URBANO and TORQUE, as well as its standard high-spec models consisting of Galaxy S6 edge, Xperia (TM) Z4, and AQUOS SERIE.

Being compatible with au VoLTE, the high quality voice call service, all models in the au Summer 2015 smartphone lineup provide voice calls and data communications through the 4G LTE network only. [1] [2] Each model in the lineup is equipped with a variety of camera features that enable you to take high-quality pictures and videos easily, while most models are compatible with not only high-speed 4G LTE (Max. downlink 225Mbps) utilizing the Carrier Aggregation technology (referred to as CA hereafter) but also WiMAX 2+ (Max. downlink 220Mbps), offering twice the CA support [3] [4].

High-spec smartphones Innovating the worlds first dual-edge screen [5], Galaxy S6 edge features an approx. 5.1-inch Quad HD display in its evolved form to fit comfortably in your hand. Xperia (TM) Z4, Sonys first VoLTE compatible and cap-less charge smartphone utilizes LDAC, Sonys audio compression technology that allows you to enjoy high-resolution audio quality in a wireless environment. In addition to the emopa function that speaks as if it was a person with emotions, AQUOS SERIE interpolates video images for one second into 2,100 video frames to perform super slow-motion playback as slow as 1/70.

isai vivid isai vivid has a high-quality liquid crystal display. Employing an IPS Quantum Display, the highest resolution display among all au smartphones, this model has achieved a 1500:1 contrast ratio that enables it to display images and details in shades clearly.

HTC J butterfly HTC J butterfly assures that you will be able to take stunningly beautiful photos including selfies with its in-camera containing aus highest resolution 13-megapixel image sensor.

TORQUE TORQUE is the worlds first seawater-resistant [6] smartphone durable enough to allow you to take active underwater photos. Its barometric pressure sensor and touch panel detect water automatically, and its camera makes suitable image corrections for underwater photography.

URBANO In addition to standard waterproof, dustproof and impact resistance, URBANO V02 comes with vibration and temperature (high/low) resistant performances. Moreover, it features comfortable operations such as convenient voice call functions with detailed settings and a soft-key function which allows its users to input Japanese characters in the same way as they have been familiar with the mobile phone key matrix.

Xperia (TM) Z4, AQUOS SERIE, isai vivid, HTC J butterfly announced today will go on display from May 15, 2015 at au SHINJUKU (Shinjuku, Tokyo), au NAGOYA (Sakae, Nagoya), au OSAKA (Umeda, Osaka), and au FUKUOKA (Tenjin, Fukuoka).
