Dan Castles y Scott Murray, SVP Corporate Marketing y CEO, respectivamente, de Telestream han sido los encargados de conducir una conferencia de prensa virtual en la que la compa a ha presentado este mi rcoles las novedades que ten a previsto demostrar en un ahora cancelado NAB 2020.
La industria camina hacia la adopci n de tecnolog as relacionadas con trabajo remoto, SDI a IP, HDR&WCG, OTT y streaming en directo, y entornos de nube. En Telestream est n convencidos de que algunas de estas reas acelerar n su adopci n debido a los tiempos que vivimos en plena pandemia de coronavirus.
Trabajar en remoto permite ahorrar costes, continuar el negocio incluso con los profesionales fuera de la oficina. Por ello, la compa a est haciendo un gran esfuerzo para facilitar estos nuevos flujos de trabajo con aplicaciones como Lightspeed Live para producciones remotas.
Una de las grandes ventajas del paso del SDI al IP es el uso de un nico cable para llevar diferentes formatos (v deo, audio, ST2110 ). Soluciones como
Prism proporcionan un an lisis de v deo tanto IP como SDI, ahora con soporte para 25 G ST 2110, al igual que el SPG8000A Hybrid Sync Pulse Generator o el Inspect 2100 que permite testar la calidad real del servicio.
En cuando al alto rango din mico y amplio gamut de color, el reto est en producir simult neamente en HDR & SDR, con conversi n de HDR a SDR para los usuarios
Vantage soporta compresi n para y desde la mayor a de los formatos HDR incluyendo DolbyVision. En el caso de Inspector Live detecta error en la distribuci n OTT de contenidos HDR y Prism y Aurora analizan HDR en directo y bajo demanda VOD.
En las reas de OTT y live straming, las soluciones de Telestream permiten lograr un mayor compromiso de los clientes al proporcionarles noticias de ltima hora as como el incremento en los ingresos por suscripci n o publicidad. Soluciones como Inspector y Surveyor, el nuevo IQ para inserci n publicitaria y monitorizaci n del streaming de contenido y el lanzamiento de Vantage C3/C6 van en esta l nea.
Por otro lado, el uso de la nube permite trabajar con costos escalables a medida que los ingresos de los clientes tambi n escalan. As es posible reducir el costo de la construcci n de la instalaci n de recuperaci n de desastres. Adem s, los servicios de nube son facilitadores de la producci n a distancia con herramientas bajo el paraguas Telestream Cloud.
Telestream ha compartido en este evento virtual la experiencia con algunos de sus clientes en el uso de la tecnolog a de Telestream como Brandon Potter, director oostproduction en Fox Sports, quien ha hablado sobre la producci n en HDR de la Super Bowl norteamericana; John House, Manager Streaming Media Operation en FuboTv, que ha abordado la producci n de eSports en 4K en un entorno multi-cloud; Gregory Stigall, Senior Director Strategic Platform Labs en Warner Media, quien ha reflexionado sobre el uso de herramientas Tektronix para monitorizar, medir, ganar tiempo y automatizar.
Automatizar paquetes IMF Entre las novedades de Telestream destaca Vantage IMF Producer, una opci n de Vantage que automatiza la creaci n de paquetes IMF (Interoperable Master Format) de Adobe Premiere Pro. El uso de un panel Vantage dentro de Adobe Premiere Pro proporciona un acceso directo y una importante eficiencia en el flujo de trabajo para los editores que deseen utilizar el exhaustivo procesamiento y empaquetado de IMF de Vantage.
Los paquetes de IMF son el m todo preferido para entregar los masters a empresas como Netflix, 20th Century Studios, Disney y muchas otras. Mediante el uso del procesamiento automatizado, el personal de edici n puede concentrarse en las funciones creativas de la narraci n y el ritmo sin preocuparse por las complejidades del formato de entrega del FMI.
El IMF es una norma SMPTE para proporcionar un formato y una estructura de archivo maestro nico e intercambiable para la distribuci n de contenido entre empresas de todo el mundo.
