NEW YORK - Sept. 11, 2017 - CBS Interactive, the premier online content network for information and entertainment, and VICE Media, the world's leading youth media brand, today announced a partnership in which the two media companies will collaborate to produce original tech-focused multiplatform content.
Sponsored by Microsoft Surface globally and Audi of America in the U.S., the series, titled Dear Future, will shine a light on major innovations shaping the world around us, such as space travel, the ethics of genome editing, internet freedom, the future of virtual reality, robotics, artificial intelligence and the future of transportation. The Dear Future series will run on CNET, the world's largest consumer news and reviews tech site, and Motherboard, VICE's award-winning tech outlet.
The first collaboration launches today with a look at the future of mind-controlled computers in a piece titled How We'll Eventually Control Everything With Our Minds, the first in a collection of long-form pieces. A docu-series will follow this fall and will visually explore the stunning and startling future that technology promises our world. Dear Future content will be available on both CNET and Motherboard, as well as via their respective mobile and social platforms.
