A source from Generations: The Legacy has confirmed that the talented actress Sonwabisile Soso Rungqu, who plays Detective Zanele has reportedly joined an e.tv telenovela.

INSIDE ACTRESS SONWABISILE SOSO' RUNGQU'S EXIT The former Isidingo actress Sonwabisile Soso Rungqu, who joined Generations: The Legacy in 2021 as Detective Zanele has reportedly scored a leading role in a star-studded telenovela on e.tv.

An insider told Zimoja: She got an offer she could not resist; she has always wanted to play a leading role and this opportunity came at the right time . The publication adds that she started shooting after bagging the role in 2022.

She reportedly requested producers and writers of the SABC1 soapie to write out her character where she has a one-year contract.

GENERATIONS: THE LEGACY' CONFIRMS HER DEPARTURE Zimoja reports that Generations: The Legacy's executive producer Costas Gavriel confirmed the actress Soso Rungqu, who plays Detective Zanele on the show has left the soapie on good terms.

She got a lead in another production. She will come back when she is done. He confirms that her agent asked in December 2022 if the star could be written out for the time being. We did not write her off. Producers and writers wrote her out so she could pursue her career as a lead in another production, added Costas.

There's not much known about the actress' latest role other than the telenovela will start air in March 2023. They started shooting in January, it is going to be exciting, not sure because of the cast, revealed a source.
