The integration of the SRT into the softGear Streaming Gateway adds a secure, reliable, and low latency contribution mechanism to remote and Cloud production workflows.
SRT is a free open-source video transport protocol and technology stack originally developed and pioneered by Haivision, which enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.
Content producers favouring remote or Cloud production workflows, will appreciate SRT's carefully crafted balance between mutually exclusive low latency and high-quality attributes by deploying the latest streaming and packet recovery techniques while allowing standard codecs and muxing methods.
