Nonku Williams is being criticized on social media for dating Dumisani Ndlazi who is an alleged rapist.

The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star and businesswoman has even gone as far as introducing her man to her three children, which include daughter Nothile Ncwane.

DUMISANI NDLAZI'S ALLEGED BAD REPUTATION When Nonku introduced Ndlazi - whom she affectionately calls Rough Diamond or RD on the Showmax series - there were mixed reactions about him on Instagram.

Some women claimed to know him as a scammer and an abuser. Another social media user claimed that he is from her hometown in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, also labelling him the biggest crook - The Tea World reported on YouTube.

However, defending her boyfriend in an interview with Zimoja last month, the mom-of-three said that there is nothing she does not know about him. She further stated that she will not be leaving him based on social media allegations.

Despite this, RHOD viewers are still questioning her decision to date Ndlazi. This comes after a 2014 article about a community leader with the same name and surname resurfaced. The article, which the Zululand Observer published, reported on the arrest of Ndlazi had allegedly raped a 20-year-old woman. He was released on R2000 bail.

In addition, a media statement on the South African Police Services (SAPS) website about the same man after he was sentenced to 10 years in prison was published in 2016. The statement has since been removed. However, some of it can be found on the All Africa website.

The South African website contacted the journalist behind the story, who confirmed that the man in question was indeed Dumisani Ndlazi who viewers now know as Rough Diamond on RHOD. She also revealed that after only a few months behind bars, he was released. However, there was no information about the reason for his release.

In the fifth episode of RHOD, Ndlazi told Nonku's family that he was once imprisoned. Although he did not divulge the details of the crime, he seemed to imply that he was wrongfully arrested.
