Matthews Studio announces the first shipment of their newest support product IndieMOUNT Car Rig will go out in the next few weeks. The new IndieMOUNT has been designed as an affordable and reliable solution for mounting smaller camera packages such as DSLRs, HD, Small ENG and Action cameras to moving vehicles.

Back in 2010, we introduced the pro and master mount car kits to work with the RED, ENG, HDCAM, and EX systems, etc, says Robert Kulesh, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MSE. The Pro Mount and Master Mount Systems are still in great demand for the medium weight digital cameras, but new technology continues to bring us smaller, more affordable cameras and for that reason, we are introducing a less expensive car mount system that will hold 8.5lbs or less.

The system uses a combination of MSE's MicroGrip technology, Vacuum Cups, an articulating camera mount and the MSE new quick strut triangulating system. The new quick strut system is a fast and reliable way to maximize system stability and safety. The quick struts always stay tight, providing you with the confidence you need knowing your camera is hanging off a moving vehicle.

Set up is fast and smooth. Simply mount the main 6 Cup with articulating camera mount, mount the camera, frame the shot, add the support cup and arm, secure the struts and you're ready to shoot. The kit includes different lengths of Micro Grip rods that can be attached via the terminating -20 threads, explains Kulesh. This gives you a dynamic reach of 4 -32 for the second support cup. The 3 camera riser is included, to give you more of a reach when trying to get the camera further away from car or other vehicle. It can even be used as a right angle adapter for that must have profile shot!
