Toshiba International Procurement Hong Kong - A Winner of 2012 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence

Hong Kong Toshiba International Procurement Hong Kong Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502), today announced that it has been selected as a Gold Award winner of the Sectoral Awards in the 2012 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE), widely recognized as one of the most prestigious and coveted environmental awards in Hong Kong.

Initiated in 2008, HKAEE covers four award schemes, one of the schemes is the Sectoral Awards. It recognizes organizations which demonstrated overall outstanding environmental performance in total 11 sectors. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are granted to the top three companies in each sector annually. Toshiba International Procurement Hong Kong, Ltd. has won the 2012 Gold award in the Import and Export Trades sector.

In the six years since the first awards, HKAEE has grown to become one of the Hong Kong's most coveted environmental awards, and a strong incentive for companies to promote green management and innovation. This year, the Sectoral Awards attracted applications from over 700 companies.
