Innovation Award 2013 f r schulische F rderung

Die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung zeichnet neben herausragenden wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten auch besondere schulische Projekte der MINT-F cher im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs Innovation Award f r Schulen aus. 2013 wurden insgesamt acht Schulen aus Coburg, Ha furt, Schweinfurt, Kitzingen, Bad K nigshofen, W rzburg, M nsterschwarzach und Wiesentheid pr miert.

Die F rderpreise zur Schulentwicklung wurden auf einer Veranstaltung am 20. M rz 2014 berreicht. Sch ler und Studenten pr sentierten ihre Projekte in einem Markt der Ideen im Schaeffler-Mitarbeitercasino.

Die Einreichung zahlreicher innovativer Projekte im Vorfeld verdeutlicht erneut den Stellenwert des Innovation Awards f r Schulen in Mainfranken. Mit der Auszeichnung von acht Schulen unterstreicht die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung wiederum die Bedeutung der schulischen F rderung und die Qualit t der eingereichten Projekte.

Die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung versteht sich als Motor f r Wissen, Wissenstransfer und die Entwicklung von Potenzialen. Die Vergabe von Schulpreisen ist ein wichtiges Instrument in unserem Bem hen, die kl gsten K pfe zu finden und junge Menschen fr hzeitig f r Technik und Naturwissenschaften zu begeistern , so Klaus Widmaier, Vorsitzender des Stiftungsvorstands und Gesch ftsleitung Personal Schaeffler Industrie, in seiner Begr ung.

Seit ihrer Gr ndung 1983 f rdert die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung Wissenschaft, Forschung und Lehre auf naturwissenschaftlich-technischem Gebiet. 2013 wurden neben dem mit 25.000 Euro dotierten Honorary Award insgesamt Preisgelder in H he von 27.000 Euro vergeben. Am 29. April 2014 werden die Preise f r herausragende Dissertationen, Masterarbeiten und Forschungsberichte in der Kugelm hle in Schweinfurt berreicht.

Die Preistr ger der schulischen F rderung und ihre Projekte:

Erster Preis, Preisgeld 2.000 Euro

Gymnasium Ernestinum, Coburg f r das Projekt Himmelsst rmer

Gegenstand des Projekts ist der Bau eines Heliumballons in Zusammenarbeit mit der Hochschule Coburg. Der Ballon soll in 30 km H he aufsteigen k nnen und Bilder sowie Messdaten liefern. Sch ler der 9. und 10. Jahrgangsstufe und Studenten der Hochschule bilden dabei Arbeitsgruppen rund um das Flugobjekt (Bau, Gas, Genehmigung), das Geh use (Material, Vorrichtung f r Kamera und Elektronik), die visuelle Dokumentation, das Bergungssystem (Fallschirm und GPS-Sender), die Messdaten-Erfassung (GPS, Beschleunigung, Temperatur, Druck) und die Wetterbeobachtungen.

Regiomontanus-Gymnasium, Ha furt f r das Projekt Bau einer Minibiogasanlage

Teilnehmer diese Projekts sind Sch lerinnen und Sch ler der Projektgruppe Jugend forscht . Im Rahmen des Projektunterrichts wird der Fokus auf erneuerbare Energien gelegt. Es soll eine dezentrale Energieversorgung entwickelt werden, bei der die Energie vor Ort produziert und soweit wie m glich im eigenen Haushalt verbraucht wird. Weil Bioabfall aus K chen- und Gartenabf llen energiereich ist, wird dieser als Substrat verwendet. Transportwege zum Endverbraucher k nnten verk rzt und die Fl chenkonkurrenz zwischen Anbaufl chen von Nahrungsmitteln und Energiepflanzen verringert werden. Ziel ist die F rderung naturwissenschaftlich interessierter Sch ler.

Zweiter Preis, Preisgeld 1.500 Euro

Olympia-Morata-Gymnasium, Schweinfurt f r das Projekt Arbeiten im und am Mathematik-Labor der Universit t W rzburg

Gegenstand des gemeinsamen Projekts von Sch lern und Studenten ist die mathematische Durchdringung von Ph nomenen sowie die Erarbeitung einer Konzeption zur Errichtung einer neuen Station im Lernlabor der Universit t W rzburg.

Die Sch lerinnen und Sch ler der Sch lerakademie f r Sch ler der Mittelstufe aus Gymnasien des Main-Rh n-Kreises sollen durch den experimentellen Umgang mit Modellen einen Zugang zu mathematischen Grundlagen technischer Ger te erhalten. Im Mathematiklabor der Uni W rzburg k nnen die Sch ler hierzu in einem Lernlabor selbstst ndig experimentieren. Freitags ist dabei jeweils Besuchstag an der Uni, Samstags erfolgt das Vor- und Nacharbeiten in der Schule. Grundlage des Projekts ist eine Drei-Phasen-Idee , die sich aus Experimentieren, Mathematisieren und Simulieren zusammensetzt.

Armin-Knab-Gymnasium, Kitzingen f r das Projekt Chemisches Domino

Sch lerinnen und Sch ler der 6. und 7. Jahrgangsstufe f hren eine Reihe von chemischen Versuchen durch, die hintereinander ablaufen. Dabei st t ein Versuch den n chsten so an, dass ein Dominoeffekt entsteht. Diese Versuchsreihe wird mit einer Messwerterfassung kombiniert. Die Sch ler lernen, in Teamarbeit chemische Versuche zu planen, durchzuf hren, zu protokollieren und zu erkl ren. Ebenso sind der Einsatz von Sensoren, das Planen von Schaltvorg ngen und das Auswerten der Versuchsdaten teil der Projektarbeit. Die Pr sentation der Ergebnisse erfolgt in PowerPoint. Ziel des Projekts ist das Erwerben chemischer Grundkenntnisse und das Kennenlernen der Vielfalt chemischer und physikalischer Messgr en, mit denen Versuche dokumentiert werden.

Gymnasium Bad K nigshofen f r das Projekt Mars Mission

Basierend auf dem Vorhaben der NASA im Jahr 2029 eine Astronauten-Crew auf den Mars zu entsenden, planen und simulieren Sch lerinnen und Sch ler der 10. Jahrgangsstufe dieses Vorhaben. Das Seminar ist dabei in drei Abschnitte gegliedert:
