The latest figures from the Television Audience Measurement (TAM) reveal that Skeem Saam is the second most-watched TV show on SABC1.

SABC1 SOAPIE SECURES SECOND PLACE The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) February 2024 figures reveal that Skeem Saam is trailing behind Uzalo on e.tv.
The figures reveal that the Peu Communications soapie achieved 4 044 187 million viewers, while Uzalo secured 5.2 million and Generations secured third place with 4 001 370.
The show stars actors Clement Maosa, Lerato Marabe, Cedric Fourie, Dieketseng Mnisi. Harriet Manamela, Hungani Ndlovu, Afrika Tsoai and many more.

SKEEM SAAM': 19:30 TIMESLOT Skeem Saam made headlines in March when it moved from its popular 18:30 timeslot and moved to 19:30 to compete with Scandal! and My Brother's Keeper
The public broadcaster revealed that the decision to move the show to 19:30 was in line with SABC Video Entertainment's strategy to amplify its primetime local drama offering to its viewers.
SABC1 Channel Head Ofentse Thinane revealed in a statement that the SABC1 audience made a plea, requesting to change the timeslot.

Thinane added that the 18:30 timeslot was too early for some, as the show broadcasts during the travelling time for a lot of the viewers.
