ales to provide the security systems for the second phase of the Ferrol external port

Thales Spain, has signed a contract with the Ferrol-San Cibrao Port Authority for phase II of the security, control and telecommunication systems for the Ferrol external port. The project is 80% co-financed by EU Cohesion Funds within its 2007-2013 Operative Frame.

This turnkey contract covers the design, installation and commissioning of the CCTV, S.O.S. posts for emergency calls, infrared perimeter intrusion detection, expansion of wireless network coverage, VHF radiocommunication, WIMAX technology radiolink between the internal and external port, and cooperation and control systems.

Thales will supply a comprehensive Port Security solution assuring the required compatibility with the existing phase I systems.
