Beverly Center, one of the premier fashion destinations in Los Angeles, joins as an official Platinum Sponsor for the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) 2017 Annual Awards honoring both make-up artists and hair stylists outstanding achievements in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. In addition, Beverly Center will be a yearly sponsor of the guild, supporting multiple programs. The black-tie gala will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at The Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live. The announcement was made today by Susan Cabral-Ebert, President of IATSE Local 706.

The legendary Beverly Center will take the spotlight in holiday 2018 after a $500 million dollar renovation that will reinvent the urban retail experience. Already known for its perfectly-curated, ever-evolving merchandise mix that combines luxury, contemporary and fast fashion retailers, shoppers at the center will see many exciting new features, including inspired chef-driven restaurants, a pedestrian-friendly exterior, a center court experience, skylights, two VIP valets and more!
As previously announced, Ryan Murphy, four-time Emmy Award-winning producer, director and screenwriter, will receive this year's Distinguished Artisan Award. Emmy -nominated make-up artist Leonard Engelman and Oscar and Emmy-nominated hair stylist Barbara Lorenz, will receive the Guild's Lifetime Achievement Awards. Trophies will also be given in more than 23 different categories honoring nominees for outstanding achievements in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater.
Final ballot on-line voting closes on February 10, 2017. Winners will be announced on February 19 at the Awards gala and live on Twitter via @Local_706 (#MUAHSawards). The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE, Local 706) was chartered in November 1937. Today, membership includes over 1,900 artisans in the entertainment industry worldwide. Local 706 members are make-up artists and hair stylists who have created the looks for Hollywood's most memorable characters and stars of stage, screen, television and now the Internet. The wide-ranging domains of these artists include feature films and television, commercials; live network television, all types of theatrical productions and Disneyland theme parks.
