New Managing Director based in Singapore will oversee Akamai's sales efforts throughout the region

SINGAPORE October 7, 2014 Akamai Technologies, Inc., (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading provider of cloud services for delivering, optimizing and securing online content and business applications, announced the appointment of Graeme Beardsell as Managing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan Markets. Based in Singapore, Graeme will lead and oversee all aspects of Sales, Business Development and Go-to-Market strategies for the entire region. Graeme will report to Sanjay Singh, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, at Akamai.

Graeme brings with him a wealth of experience with over 25 years of senior management, sales, consulting and product management experience in both start-ups and established companies with the likes of IBM, Salesforce, Experian and Solace Systems. Prior to joining Akamai, Graeme was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific at Solace Systems. His diverse experience and track record of results will be extremely beneficial to Akamai as the company gears up for continued growth in the region.
