Neuartige, energieoptimale Lenkkraftunterst tzung f r Elektrofahrzeuge ist Thema eines Verbundprojekts von KIT und Schaeffler

Das F rderprojekt des Bundesministeriums f r Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) Energieoptimale, intelligente Lenkkraftunterst tzung f r elektrische Fahrzeuge (e -Lenk) widmet sich einem neuartigen Konzept der Lenkkraftunterst tzung. Bei konventionellen Fahrzeugen beschleunigt der Verbrennungsmotor nicht nur den Wagen, sondern versorgt auch die Hilfssysteme an Bord mit Energie; etwa die Lenkkraftunterst tzung, die dem Fahrer viel M he am Lenkrad abnimmt. Bei Elektrofahrzeugen kommt diese Energie aus der Batterie und reduziert dadurch auch die Reichweite. Im Forschungsprojekt der beiden beteiligten Partner Karlsruher Institut f r Technologie (KIT) und Schaeffler wird durch geschickte Regelung der Antriebsmomente der einzelnen R der die Lenkung energieeffizient unterst tzt. Das Vorhaben wird vom BMBF ber eine Laufzeit von 3 Jahren mit rund 0,6 Mio. Euro gef rdert, das Projekt startete zum Januar 2015. Die neuartige Lenkkraftunterst tzung w rde mit weniger Systemkomponenten im Elektrofahrzeug auskommen, Gewicht und Energie im Elektrofahrzug k nnten dadurch eingespart werden , erkl ren Projektleiter Dr. Marcel Mayer, Schaeffler, und Dr. Michael Frey, KIT. Dadurch w rde ein Elektroauto nat rlich g nstiger und h tte eine gr ere Reichweite. Durch die m gliche Bau- und Gewichtsoptimierung k nnten Materialien und Fertigungsschritte eingespart werden.
Die Grundidee des Projekts e -Lenk ist einfach: Statt wie im Verbrennungswagen alle R der mit der gleichen Antriebskraft zu versorgen, sollen im Elektroauto Elektromotoren die R der individuell antreiben. Wenn die R der auf der linken Seite mehr Antriebsmoment auf die Stra e bertragen als auf der rechten Seite, ergibt sich bereits eine Beschleunigung des Wagens in eine Rechtskurve, ohne die Vorderr der einzuschlagen oder zus tzlich Energie f r das Lenken aufzubringen. Nach dem gleichen Prinzip lenken auch Kettenfahrzeuge oder Quadrokopter. Durch geschickte Ansteuerung und eine geeignete Radaufh ngung l sst sich eine Lenkunterst tzung w hrend der Fahrt realisieren , sagt Schaeffler-Ingenieur Mayer, Leiter Arbeitsgruppe Automatisiertes Fahren, der innerhalb der Forschungskooperation SHARE (Schaeffler Hub for Automotive Research in E-Mobility) am KIT forscht. Lediglich die Lenkung im Stand ist bei konventioneller Auslegung noch eine Herausforderung.
Die Lenkkraftunterst tzung wird durch unseren Ansatz Teil des Antriebstranges , erl utert Frey, der am Institut f r Fahrzeugsystemtechnik des KIT forscht. Das Einlenken der Vorderr der erfolgt ohne zus tzliche Energie. Wir wollen damit auch die Fahrqualit t deutlich erh hen. Kundennutzen, Komfort, Sicherheit und Zuverl ssigkeit gehen hier Hand in Hand.
Im Rahmen des Vorhabens werden Funktionsdemonstratoren aufgebaut, mit denen die Konzepte dann experimentell validiert und optimiert werden. Eine Umsetzung im Vorjahresmodell des Formula-Student-Rennwagens der KIT-Hochschulgruppe KA-RaceIng unter Beteiligung der Studenten ist ebenfalls beabsichtigt.
Mit dem Verbundprojekt e -Lenk startet das erste gemeinsame ffentlich gef rderte Projekt im Rahmen der Forschungskooperation SHARE am KIT zwischen der Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG und dem KIT. Das Verbundprojekt wird am Campus Ost des KIT in einem gemeinsamen Projektb ro des SHARE am KIT und dem Institut f r Fahrzeugsystemtechnik (FAST) bearbeitet.

Schaeffler und das KIT sind Partner des Spitzenclusters Elektromobilit t S d-West (ESW), der ber 80 Akteure aus Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft in der Region Karlsruhe - Mannheim - Stuttgart - Ulm verbindet. Die Clusterstrategie des Clusters ESW erzielt durch neue Kooperationsformen und Denkans tze eine intensive regionale Zusammenarbeit im Bereich der Elektromobilit t. Dadurch sollen Wissen aufgebaut, verstetigt und schlie lich Vorteile im internationalen Wettbewerb erzielt werden.

Ziel ist es, Konzepte, Technologien, Methoden und Prozesse f r die Mobilit t der Zukunft zu erarbeiten. Die Wissenschaftler ber cksichtigen dabei das komplexe Zusammenspiel von Fahrzeug, Fahrer, Verkehr, Infrastruktur und Gesellschaft.
