Unique Device Stands Out From the Pack With Powerful Features Such as Synching With iTunes Over the Network and Navigation Through a Video Display SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Dec. 7, 2011 - Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) today announced that the company is now shipping its RTiDock iPod dock. Sporting a host of powerful features not found on other iPod docks - such as the ability to sync with iTunes over the network and full navigation support through a video display device - the RTiDock allows consumers to connect their iPod effortlessly to their local or distributed audio system and conveniently control it through an RTI in-wall or handheld controller.
Simplifying installations with a slim design and the flexibility of rack-mount or desktop options, the RTiDock utilizes Virtual Sync technology to sync with iTunes over the network. For simple, intuitive operation, the device offers an elegant on-screen GUI (graphical user interface) and component video output for intuitive navigation through a video display device. For added reliability and a clean, streamlined design, the units sliding tray provides easy access and discreet storage of the iPod.
The RTiDock offers seamless integration with RTI control devices, providing access to all transport functions of the iPod through full IR support. For more robust control, navigation through artists, songs, albums, and playlists is enabled via bidirectional communication over RS-232 or IP with many RTI handheld and in-wall controllers. The RTiDocks variety of control options allow it to be used in systems of any complexity.
There is overwhelming consumer demand for simple and convenient integration of the iPod into audio systems. It is a first-class device for integrating an iPod into a distributed audio system, with its advanced functionality, sexy design, and extensive feature set providing the wow factor that consumers seek.
The RTiDock is available at an MSRP of $599. The unit will be on display at ISE 2012, along with a number of other audio solutions from RTI, in stand 4S60.
