Ram n Colom, new President of FAPAE El nuevo presidente de la Confederaci n de productores audiovisuales espa oles ha sido elegido por mayor a absoluta.
La Junta Directiva de la Confederaci n de productores audiovisuales espa oles, FAPAE, tras el correspondiente proceso electoral, ha elegido este jueves a Ram n Colom como la persona que sustituir a Joxe Portela, que ocupaba la presidencia de la Confederaci n de forma transitoria tras dejar el cargo Pedro P rez en el mes de julio. Ram n Colom estar al frente de los productores espa oles durante los pr ximos cuatro a os, seg n marcan los estatutos de la Confederaci n.
Colom, quien tambi n ocupa la presidencia de PROA (Productors Audiovisuals Federats) hasta el mes de abril de 2014, hab a concurrido a las elecciones con un programa en el que est n consensuados los intereses de todos los productores de cine, televisi n, animaci n y documental, as como los de todos los territorios representados en la Confederaci n.
Consciente de la dificultad del actual periodo, con graves problemas en el sector audiovisual, tanto econ micos, estructurales, como legislativos, Ram n Colom mantiene el prop sito de seguir trabajando intensamente en la representaci n y defensa de los intereses profesionales y empresariales del sector de la producci n audiovisual espa ola.
Las prioridades del nuevo presidente, en los pr ximos meses, son trabajar en la puesta en marcha de un nuevo modelo (concretando el trabajo que se est realizando con las administraciones y los diferentes agentes del sector en la Comisi n Mixta). Lo m s urgente ahora es que se defina c mo y cu ndo se va a realizar el pago de las ayudas a la amortizaci n de los a os 2011 y 2012, para posteriormente poner en marcha el nuevo modelo , ha destacado Colom.
En este sentido, el nuevo presidente de FAPAE traslada a las diferentes administraciones su disposici n para lograr la estabilidad y el crecimiento de una industria econ micamente sostenible, as como mantener y establecer acuerdos, pactos y convenios con el resto de agentes que trabajan en el sector audiovisual.
Adem s, Ram n Colom ha resaltado ante la Junta Directiva de la Confederaci n, que se ha celebrado en la Academia de Cine, la necesidad, en este nuevo periodo, de fomentar la comunicaci n interna y consolidar, en una sola voz, los intereses de todos los productores audiovisuales espa oles a trav s de FAPAE. En este sentido, ha hecho p blico su agradecimiento a Pedro P rez por el lugar en el que posicion a esta Confederaci n, as como a Joxe Portela por dirigir el periodo transitorio.
Ram n Colom ha expresado su convicci n de ganar autonom a con respecto a las administraciones, siendo creativos en la b squeda de alternativas de financiaci n del conjunto del sector audiovisual.
A life dedicated to the audiovisual
Ram n Colom Esmatges, estudia Ciencias Pol ticas y Ciencias de la Informaci n en la Universidad Aut noma de Barcelona y comienza a trabajar en Radio Espa a de Barcelona (1973) como presentador de programas musicales y redactor de informativos. Enseguida se traslada a Madrid, en 1974, y se incorpora a Televisi n Espa ola en los programas The week, Weekly report, llegando a dirigir este programa. En 1982, es nombrado Jefe de Programas No Diarios de los Servicios Informativos de TVE, cargo del que evoluciona a Subdirector de los mismos Servicios Informativos (1984). En 1990 es ya nombrado director de Televisi n Espa ola S.A. y Administrador nico de la Sociedad, desempe ando esta responsabilidad hasta el 30 de junio de 1996, cuando en septiembre de ese mismo a o, se incorpora a la empresa Mediapark donde lidera, hasta abril de 1.998, el rea de formaci n y de nuevos proyectos de la empresa.
En este per odo crea y dirige el M ster de Gesti n de Empresas Audiovisuales, en un acuerdo de colaboraci n entre Mediapark y la Universitat Ram n Llull de Barcelona. Dise a y crea tambi n numerosos canales de televisi n que son incorporados a las plataformas digitales. En el mes de octubre de 1998 comienza a colaborar con la revista Frames carrying out section El cazador de im genes. Es, desde octubre de 1998, el presentador del programa Millennium del Canal 33 de TV3 hasta finales de 2012. Durante dos a os est tambi n al frente de la Direcci n General de Contenidos en V a Digital. Posteriormente asume el cargo de presidente de Sagrera Audiovisual, empresa dedicada a los contenidos audiovisuales hasta 2010.
Actualmente es presidente de Abordar Holding, dedicada a la distribuci n y producci n de contenidos audiovisuales. Compagina esta actividad con la docencia en la Facultad de Comunicaci n Blanquerna (URL), la colaboraci n en varias publicaciones y la Presidencia de PROA Federaci n, a lo que se une ahora su presidencia en FAPAE, Confederaci n productores audiovisuales espa oles.
