Football, Juan Jos Campanella challenge in the world of animation En total, han intervenido en este ambicioso proyecto casi cuatrocientos artistas, productores, programadores, y t cnicos de quince nacionalidades. Grandes socios tecnol gicos como HP, Intel y Telef nica han sido claves en todo el proceso.
Tras su estreno argentino, Juan Jos Campanella levanta hoy en Espa a el tel n de su ltimo largometraje: Foosball (Metegol, en Argentina). Realizado en 3D estereosc pico para exhibici n comercial en salas cinematogr ficas, el gui n est basado en el cuento Memorias de un wing derecho, de Roberto Fontanarrosa, y ha sido escrito por el propio director, Eduardo Sacheri, Axel Kuschevatzky y Gast n Gorali.
Se trata de una producci n hispano-argentina con ambici n internacional y el es el primer proyecto cinematogr fico de Campanella despu s de haber obtenido el Oscar de la Academia de Hollywood por El secreto de sus ojos.
Juan Jos Campanella ha destacado que nuestra intenci n era crear un mundo nico y original. Creo que lo hemos conseguido, porque no he visto nada igual en ninguna otra pel cula. En mi humilde opini n .
Amadeo es un chico de pueblo peque o con grandes habilidades como jugador de futbol n. El tiempo va pasando y sa es la nica destreza que ha desarrollado. Por supuesto, esto puede ser muy conveniente y til cuando se es un ni o, pero uno crece y esta habilidad se convierte m s en una carga que otra cosa. No sirve de nada tener este talento en un mundo de adultos.
Capi es un jugador de futbol n con toda la arrogancia de un capit n de f tbol, pero que a medida que avanza la pel cula se va convirtiendo en m s humano y mucho m s multidimensional.
Esta es la historia de un joven que se ha convertido en una estrella del f tbol internacional y que regresa a su ciudad natal con un plan: comprar toda la ciudad, convertirla en un gran estadio, y por fin resolver un conflicto personal pendiente con Amadeo: la humillaci n de haber perdido un partido de futbol n cuando eran ni os. Y aqu es cuando los jugadores de futbol n comienzan a intervenir en la historia.
Siempre me ha gustado la animaci n pero, lamentablemente, era como una zona prohibida para m , porque el dibujo a mano alzada era algo con lo que nunca me pude relacionar. Vengo del mundo de las computadoras como editor y ahora que la animaci n ha llegado al mundo de la computaci n, me puedo sentar con un animador y hablar un c digo com n, y para m eso es mucho mejor, es mucho m s creativo y propicio para la comunicaci n. Logramos el estilo de la pel cula poco a poco, por prueba y error despu s de un mont n de pruebas. Tuvimos que crear un mundo compatible con la animaci n en 3D, y trasladarlo al mundo de la inform tica sin perder lo original y lo nico de la creaci n.
Esta pel cula demand much simo trabajo, un mont n de gente con talento, una gran cantidad de t cnicos, un mont n de gente creativa y quise que ese trabajo, esfuerzo y talento se viera en la pantalla , afirma Campanella.
La producci n
Foosball no es una pel cula sobre futbolines, ni siquiera es una pel cula de f tbol. Es por sobre todas las cosas una historia de amor, amistad y superaci n. Sus protagonistas descubren tras varios a os de rutina que deber n poner el cuerpo y enfrentarse a un nuevo mundo con reglas muy distintas a las conocidas.
Para desarrollar la idea y escribir el gui n se sumaron a Campanella, Axel Kutchevatzky, productor asociado de extensa trayectoria en cine, y el reconocido escritor Eduardo Sacheri, escritor y co-guionista del Secreto de sus Ojos con quien el director ya hab a logrado un xito sin precedentes. El gui n y el desarrollo del universo llev m s de 18 meses. Despu s siguieron otros 8 meses de preproducci n. Formamos un mbito de trabajo para intercambiar ideas entre el equipo de gui n y el flamante equipo de arte, liderado por Nelson Luty y Mariano Epelbaum, directores de arte de la pel cula. Muchas de las ideas que quedaron plasmadas en la pel cula surgieron de aquellas sesiones de trabajo entre ilustraciones e historias que se retroalimentaban constantemente. Campanella finalmente dirig a al equipo y reescrib a constantemente cada escena.
Cuatrocientos artistas
En total, han intervenido en este ambicioso proyecto casi cuatrocientos artistas, productores, programadores, y t cnicos de quince nacionalidades.
M s de 3.000 entrevistas condujo el equipo liderado por Diego Rosner, productor ejecutivo, quien dej gran parte de su vida y su salud capilar en esta pel cula. Para l, convocar artistas de grandes estudios como Pixar, Dreamworks, o Weta, era una combinaci n de brindarles la posibilidad de trabajar junto a uno de los m s reconocidos directores de la regi n, hacerlo con total libertad art stica y sin la injerencia de los cl sicos ejecutivos de Hollywood. Y si esto no era suficiente, para completar la seducci n se ofrec a un dossier con im genes de Buenos Aires, Madrid, los bares y la vida nocturna, y hasta la posibilidad de traer un acompa ante a cargo de la producci n. Despu s de todo, significaba embarcarse de lleno y durante m s de dos a os en un solo proyecto.
Sergio Fernandez fue el responsable de llevar adelante este barco como jefe de producci n. F lix Monti, el legendario director de fotograf a, aport todo su conocimiento del cine cl sico y lo llev al entorno de la animaci n digital. Se cruzaban 3 generaciones. El Chango Monti que hac a la direcci n de fotograf a de pel culas cuando a n se editaban en moviola pas meses rodeado de artistas argentinos, estadounidenses y europeos con piercings, tatuajes y cientos de monitores de LCD, bajo la supervisi n de Eduardo Casado Dominguez.
