MTV Shuga Down South is back for another riveting season and they are looking for new faces to join the production.

The third season is said to be inspired by the findings from the Centre for Aids Development Research and Evaluation (CADRE), according to the Country Director at MTV Staying Alive Foundation Tshireletso Diogo.

MTV Shuga is fictional, but the storylines are based on the real lives of young people. Through relatable characters we are able to signpost innovative health products and services, empowering our audiences to make informed choices about their sexual lives and overall well-being, explains Tshireletso.

HOW TO AUDITION FOR MTV SHUGA DOWN SOUTH Auditions of the new season will remain open until 21 November. To audition, you can visit MTV Shuga Down South auditions.

All you have to do to audition is download the script and rehearse it until you know it off by heart. The next step is finding a tripod, a loving friend or even a bookshelf to prop your phone or camera and then press record and do your thing MTV says.

You will need to complete the entry form and upload a copy of your ID, birth certificate or passport, a copy of your driver's licence should you have a licence, a recent picture of your face and the video of your audition.

The sound and visuals of your video need to be of good quality so that you can be seen and heard clearly by the show's judges.

WHO ARE THE JUDGES? Four renowned people will be on the judging panel. These include Ayanda Sithebe (founder of Actor Spaces), Tshireletso Yvonne Diogo (MTV Staying Alive Foundation Country Director), Stephanie Ndlovu (Co-Chair MTV Staying Alive Foundation) and Monde Twala (BET International and Board Member: MTV Staying Alive Foundation).

Stephanie says the public auditions are their way of opening up the industry.
