Go! - cross-platform browser unlocks the world

New development delivers instant access to any content, anywhere, from virtually any device

12th April 2015: At NAB 2015 Quantel unveiled Go! - a cross-platform browser app which allows Quantel users to access content from anywhere on a wide range of devices. Also new at NAB is a powered-up QTube Edit client, enabling full remote editing capability.

Go! enables journalists to keep up with the latest developments on the story theyre working on, wherever they are, giving them instant access to all the material relating to the story, even as it is being ingested. Go! has been created using HTML5, and is responsive, enabling media to be accessed elegantly on the full range devices in use today - mobile, tablet and desktop.

Also new at NAB, QTube Edit now boasts the full Quantel craft editing toolset - equivalent to the Qube connected craft editor on Enterprise sQ systems but connected remotely via QTube over the internet on a connection as low as 300kb/s. QTube Edit also now includes local ingest and playout to video. The editor can work with locally ingested hi-res and remote lo-res streamed media from the home Enterprise sQ system - all on the same timeline.

When the edit is complete, just the edit decision list (AAF metadata) together with the chosen frames of local hi-res media are sent back to the home Enterprise sQ system, where the final render is done. This eliminates unnecessary, time-consuming movement of hi-res media while enabling full context stories to be edited together remotely.

"QTube Edit takes this one stage further, enabling complete packages of remote and local content - with full effects - to be quickly and efficiently edited together in the field, even when internet bandwidth is an issue."
