
Internet of Everything attracts Cisco Connect 2014 more than 1,900 professionals El evento anual para los profesionales de TI, Cisco Connect 2014, ha tenido lugar este a o en el Kin polis de Madrid reuniendo a m s de 1.900 asistentes. Un encuentro que gir alrededor del IoE y las tecnolog as que lo sustentan.
En Kin polis de Madrid se pudieron ver ayer las ltimas tendencias tecnol gicas que est n surgiendo alrededor del Internet de todas las Cosas, ya que este fue el escenario elegido para celebrar el Cisco Connect 2014, un evento anual en el Cisco y sus partners en Espa a reunieron a m s de 1.900 profesionales.
Jos Manuel Petisco, director general de Cisco Espa a fue el encargado de inaugurar el congreso quien puso de relieve el gran impacto que est teniendo el Internet of Everything, c mo est transformando la forma en que vivimos y trabajamos y que est afectando tanto a las personas, como a las cosas y a las empresas. No estamos hablando de ciencia ficci n sino de una revoluci n que ya est aqu . Las empresas que ya lo est n implementado en su negocio o tienen planes para hacerlo podr n formar parte de los 600 billones de d lares que se espera que genere el Internet of Everything este a o. Las empresas deber n trabajar a tiempo hiper-real, ser predictivas y giles .
Para conseguir estos objetivos planteados por el director general de Cisco Espa a la clave se encuentra en la innovaci n y la rapidez, pero como explica Ileana Rivera, CIO de Cisco Latinoam rica, las empresas no pueden innovar si TI no lo hace, sino se es r pido, simple y seguro. Para que las personas y las empresas est n preparadas para el futuro es preciso ser innovadores y r pidos y, para ello, necesitamos proveedores de servicios de TI que nos aporten las tecnolog as que precisamos .
Ileana puso de relieve la importancia de las conexiones, ya que las conexiones son relaciones entre las personas, los procesos y los dispositivos. Y estas relaciones ser n las que transformar n el futuro. Las personas ser n las que obtendr n mayores beneficios de esta nueva econom a en un mundo m s seguro. Viviremos m s, los transportes ser n m s seguros, todo estar virtualmente en la nube y est explosi n de datos nos permitir alcanzar mejores decisiones .
Unas tecnolog as que han podido verse en este evento anual de Cisco Connect 2014 y que giran alrededor de la movilidad, el cloud, la seguridad y el big data. Tambi n se ha mostrado el papel que juegan cada de ellas en esta transformaci n que se est produciendo y como est n involucradas en la conexi n los dispositivos, personas, datos y procesos.
El futuro de la inteligencia ubicua
En esta sesi n plenaria tambi n intervino Jorge Lang, director de Innovaci n y Soluciones de Intel Corporation para la Regi n Sur de Europa, qui n hincapi en la importancia de las comunicaciones y la colaboraci n, y en como esta econom a de datos nos va a permitir abordar la predicci n. Nos dirigimos hacia una sociedad que va a poder prever las cosas ya que se va a contar con un hist rico de datos. Este es otro de los elementos fundamentales de este mundo inteligente, la anticipaci n. En Intel queremos conseguir que todo sea inteligentes .
La visi n de Intel sobre el Internet of Everything se basa en que todas las cosas que est n a nuestro alrededor sean inteligentes, puedan tomar decisiones por s mismas, se puedan proteger y colaboren con las personas. Este es el futuro. Estamos viviendo una revoluci n social donde la tecnolog a digital es la clave y la que viene es la de la inteligencia ubicua. Un mundo donde todo ser inteligente y estar conectado, donde habr gran cantidad de informaci n y se focalizar en el individuo para anticipar al grupo, consiguiendo un mundo m s sostenible .
Con este objetivo Intel est dotando a los dispositivos de una mayor inteligencia y seguridad, conect ndolos a la nube de Internet y facilitando el an lisis de datos en tiempo real mediante el Big Bata. Hemos cambiado nuestro cat logo de productos para que se adapte a esta nueva realidad, incorporando una nueva familia de soluciones, Quad .
Tecnolog as que soportan IoE
Organizado por la compa a, con la colaboraci n de Intel como patrocinador Iridium y de los principales aliados estrat gicos y partners de canal de Cisco, el evento combin presentaciones con demostraciones t cnicas y casos pr cticos en torno al Internet of Everything y las tecnolog as que lo soportan: cloud, movilidad, colaboraci n, SDN (redes definidas mediante software), Internet of Things, seguridad y Big Data.
El incremento de conexiones entre personas, procesos, datos y objetos (13.000 millones en la actualidad y 50.000 millones previstos en 2020) supone una revoluci n que ser de cinco a diez veces mayor que el impacto de Internet en toda su historia , destaca Jos Manuel Petisco, director general de Cisco Espa a. Cisco Connect ha demostrado que el IoE est generando ya enormes oportunidades de progreso para las organizaciones y la sociedad .
Las ponencias paralelas fueron impartidas por BT, Citrix, EMC, IBM, Microsoft y NetApp, adem s de contar con la participaci n de Ono. A su vez, se realizaron demostraciones durante toda la jornada, unas por Cisco y otras por Acuntia, Aryse, Azlan-Tech Data, Comstor, Dimension Data, Iecisa, Impala, Ingram Micro, Sothis y VMware.
Las 20 demos realizadas por Cisco se dividieron en tres zonas (Internet of Everything, Centro de Negocios y rea Tecnol gica), destacando las sesiones sobre Fog Computing e IPv6, la colaboraci n mediante v deo integrando tablets multi-fabricante, la configuraci n de un desktop virtual desde la nube con Cisco UCS o el an lisis de los usuarios de la red WiFi basado en la localizaci n mediante Cisco CMX y Meraki.
