ACCORDING to Deadlinereports, Sharlto Copley has been confirmed to play the villain in Spike Lee's OldBoy.
Old Boy is the remake of Park Chan-Wook's Old Boy and focuses on a man who is abducted and imprisoned in a hotel room for over 20 years (15 years in the original). The lead, Joe, played by Josh Brolin, (Dae-su Oh in the original) is suddenly released and is, understandably, on a path of vengeance.
It is set to be released in the UK on 6 December.

If you're not excited yet, Copley has been very busy, and will be appearing in the thriller Open Grave too, this time as the lead.
In this thriller Copley will not be battling with aliens or Matt Damon, instead he will be dealing with corpses lots of corpses.
Open Grave, directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (Apollo 18), is about exactly that - an open grave.
A man (Copley) wakes up in a mass grave, better described as a gigantic pit of corpses, with no memory of who he is or how he got there.
He manages to climb out of the pit and flees the scene, breaks into a nearby house and is greeted by a group of terrified strangers with guns.
Everybody is suffering from severe memory loss, and suspicion gives way to violence as the group starts piecing together clues about their identities, but as they uncover a more vicious threat, they are forced to figure out what brought them all together.
If the trailer is anything to go by, this movie is a real nail-biter, and will keep you on the edge of your seat, body covered in goose bumps from start to finish.
Open Grave is set to be a riveting thriller. It is directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (Apollo 18) and will be released on 3 January 2014
The cast also includes Josie Ho, Thomas Kretschmann, Joseph Morgan, Erin Richards and Max Wrottesley.
