VCAS Ultra and VCAS for Broadcast-Hybrid Both Achieve Finalist Status in Leading Industry AwardsSan Diego, Nov. 7, 2014 -Verimatrix, the specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-network, multi-screen digital TV services around the globe, today announced that its Video Content Authority System (VCAS ) has been shortlisted for two prominent industry awards - the Fierce Innovation Awards and the Streaming Media Readers' Choice Awards. The two shortlisted solutions both leverage the strengths of the field-proven and award winning VCAS multi-network content and revenue security solution for IP, broadcast, and hybrid networks.
VCAS Ultra is a finalist in the Conditional Access (CA), Digital Rights Management (DRM) and Authentication category of the Fierce Innovation Awards, while VCAS for Broadcast-Hybrid is a finalist in the DRM/Access Control Solution category of the Streaming Media Readers' Choice Awards. Both solutions offer pay-TV operators an agile multi-network revenue security approach with the flexibility and scalability they need to meet their future goals for growth. VCAS Ultra enables service providers to take full advantage of next-generation ultra high definition (UHD) services and deploy in physical or virtualized environments, while VCAS for Broadcast-Hybrid supports combinations of RF and multicast linear delivery with advanced adaptive bitrate streaming video services. Video watermarking for forensic tracking is integral to both solutions and a requirement for premium UHD services.
