Riedel MediorNet Now to Support Studer Consoles
Riedels MediorNet is a fiber-based real-time signal transport solution for video, audio, communications, and data. The MN-ST-AL-2 card provides two ports, each with redundant interfaces, for connecting Studer mixing consoles via the Studer A-Link protocol to Riedel MediorNet Modular frames. In this way the consoles become an integrated part of the entire signal distribution infrastructure. Users can gain up to 384 channels per connection and realize significant cost-savings in cabling and maintenance while continuing to utilize unparalleled flexibility and signal quality.
copyrighted by liveProduction.tv The convenient routing of the audio stream is handled by the user-friendly MediorWorks control and management software via drag-and-drop programming, which makes last-minute changes easy and intuitive. Additional routing adjustments can be performed via Pro-Bel commands or the new EMBER remote control protocol in MediorNet.
The new MediorNet MN-ST-AL-2 card supports compact or larger decentralized digital audio router applications with any network topology, and it requires just a card slot with two high-speed ports. One MediorNet Modular frame equipped with A-Link interface cards becomes a cost-efficient audio router with 4,608 inputs and outputs in two rack units. The new Riedel card for MediorNet supports all Studer Vista 5 and Vista 9 consoles, as well as OnAir 3000 consoles.
Riedel Showcases First Integrated AVB Control Panel for Artist Digital Matrix Intercom
The CPX-AVB provides the next generation of AVB interfacing for Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom control panels. The CPX-AVB is a dedicated card that fits in the expansion slot of the Artist 1100 series OLED control panels. The card turns the control panel into an AVB-enabled device, in turn making the panels ports available within the entire AVB network. The expansion card converts two Artist ports to the AVB network and vice versa.
copyrighted by liveProduction.tv Riedel is the first company to provide a fully integrated solution for establishing digital matrix intercom keypanel connections over AVB infrastructures. Following installation of the CPX-AVB card, the control panels functionality is the same as before, simply expanded with AVB connectivity.
To enable further signal integration, Riedel offers a comprehensive suite of AVB-enabled interfaces for its Artist intercom platform. In addition to the existing Connect AVB x8 panel interface, the new Connect AVB C8 offers eight AES connections on BNC. The device supports both bidirectional AES for intercom panels and unidirectional transport for broadcast AES.
Riedels new Connect AVB A8 provides eight analog inputs and outputs on RJ45 connectors. Riedels AVB Manager offers full AVB network management and features system-wide control of all AVB components.
Riedels MediorNet Real-Time Media Network to Provide Native EMBER Support
The EMBER protocol facilitates seamless integration of Riedels MediorNet networks with third-party broadcast control and automation systems, resulting in a faster, more streamlined control and monitoring infrastructure.
copyrighted by liveProduction.tv The EMBER self-discovering protocol, developed by L-S-B Broadcast Technologies, facilitates highly effective and customized integrations of MediorNet devices with other broadcast control systems such as VSM. EMBER provides access to almost any MediorNet parameter and lets users edit individual input and output settings, as well as signal routing. Highly configurable control functions and status reports allow for far more extensive monitoring and control than other solutions.
Benefits of native EMBER support include the ability to control and save presets, switch complex routes, and access detailed user feedback. When EMBER -compatible equipment is connected in a network along with an EMBER server, the controllable parameters of the devices are automatically described and made addressable over the network via the EMBER protocol.
