Dies Jos Manuel Lara, president of Atresmedia and Planet Jos Manuel Lara Bosch presided since June 2003 Antena 3 and Onda Cero, after entry into the shareholding of Planeta-Agostini. Since 2012 he became the president of Atresmedia group, following the merger of Antena 3 LaSexta.

This Saturday has died in Barcelona at age 68 the president of the planet and Atresmedia groups, Jos Manuel Lara.

Born in Barcelona in 1946 and son of businessman and publisher Jos Manuel Lara Hern ndez and Mar a Teresa Bosch Carbonel, Lara Bosch since he was just 17 closely linked to the Planeta group, the publishing empire created by his father in 1949. In 1996 he was appointed CEO of the Group, initiating a strong process of diversification and internationalization.

Lara Bosch Planet became captain in 2003 after the death of his father who shared the direction of the publishing group since 85.

Its management clinched a planet to make the group with a hundred companies among themselves and participated in the main Spanish publishing conglomerate and a reference in many countries in Spanish.

After acquiring Planeta De Agostini and the June 16, 2003 25.1% of Antena 3 and Telef nica, Lara Bosch was named president of the television. In 2012, Lara became president of Atresmedia group, following the merger of Antena 3 LaSexta, constituting one of the leading media groups in Spain (Antena 3 TV, LaSexta, Onda Cero Radio, Europa FM and FM Melody ...).

Grupo Planeta is also shareholder of the newspaper La Razon and DNA and the first group of Colombian media, Casa Editorial El Tiempo, editor of the leading newspaper in Colombia, El Tiempo and the first local television channel in Bogot , City TV among many other publications.
