DIMETIS LAUNCHES POWERFUL DISTRIBUTED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR BROADCASTERS, NETWORK CARRIERS AND MEDIA COMPANIES BOSS Cloud with BOSS Local Controller System Enables Operators to Manage and Scale Large Networks DIETZENBACH, GERMANY, October 16, 2013 - Dimetis, (http://www.dimetis.de), a leading software supplier providing Operations Support System (OSS) solutions, today announced that it has launched BOSS Cloud , a unique scalable distributed management system that works in conjunction with the centralized management BOSS BROADCAST Manager and local BOSS Local Controller systems to properly monitor and control local devices, in large growing networks.

The new BOSS Cloud as part of Dimetis BOSS Broadcast Product Suites is architected to expand the capability of Dimetis BOSS BROADCAST Manager system.

The number of network devices is expanding and the overall traffic escalating, particularly in IPTV and Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) networks. Centralized management systems are faced with new technical challenges such as managing high number of devices throughout the network, managing large volumes of traffic (status and alarms) from these devices, and adequately controlling local devices that are physically far away, or have high latency in communication. Dimetis has solved these issues with BOSS Cloud by providing the distributed horsepower to manage today's networks.

BOSS Cloud , with the use of the new BOSS Local Controller module moves most of the intelligence of the management system closer to the network elements within a network region while continuing to provide a centralized view of the status and operation of the overall network.
