A new frontier is present in the world of television, production and digital media. The 5G promises to open new opportunities, services and content at very high speed, which will increase the consumption of video at a global scale, with greater inclusion of users and citizens.
The project has been funded thanks to the high rating obtained in their evaluation by the European Commission (14.5 points out of 15 total), which demonstrates the high level of the same and certifies excellence in all aspects evaluated.
So far, the approach that has been given to research in 5G has focused on all that which is necessary for the evolution of networking technologies (availability of spectrum, radio access, SDN, NFV and cloud infrastructure, flexible infrastructure or both systems development and operations control), but has been given less attention to the services and applications that use the advanced capabilities of the 5G network such as requiring the audiovisual sector.
