(12/04/2014) Teradek, the world leader in compact wireless video transmission systems, announced at NAB 2014 the Cube Pro + Timecode Buddy, the latest addition to the award-winning family of Cube encoders. Cube Pro is a camera back H.264 encoder with Timecode Buddy's system: ONE controller board built-in for highly accurate wirelessly controlled timecode and genlock over the 900MHz band.
The Cube Pro offers a number of significant enhancements over current Cube models as a result of its two new co-processors, allowing for higher bit rate encoding for broadcasts as well as lower latency streaming and real-time HD monitoring on as many as 10 iOS and Android devices. Cube Pro can also utilize Teradek's latest mobile software solutions including TeraView , which allows users to monitor and record up to 4 video feeds simultaneously on a single iPad.
The addition of Timecode Buddy's system: ONE controller board offers Cube Pro users TC IN, TC OUT, and Genlock Out on all cameras connected to the device. The integration also makes the Cube Pro automatically compatible with the entire Timecode Buddy: system, Denecke TS-TCB IntellisSlate, and its many supporting third party applications (MovieSlate, Adobe Prelude LiveLogger, Softron Move Recorder, and IN2CORE QTakeHD). As a result, Teradek users benefit from a robust multi-camera RF sync, highly accurate timecode stamped video streams and the ability to use the embedded metadata in the SDI stream for intelligent wireless content logging.
