Viewers of Mzansi Magic's telenovela Gomora have been waiting since season one for Teddy's dream of being a sports (soccer) reporter to come true.

INSIDE TEDDY'S DREAM Teddy revealed in season one when he was still a scholar at Gomora High that he wanted to be a sports commentator when he graduates from high school and his viewers have been anxiously waiting for his dream to become a reality.

His dream began to unfold this week (season three) when he applied for a sports reporting job at Gomora's community radio station.

Fans flocked to social media to congratulate him in advance before he was announced as the new sports reporter at the radio station.

Audiences of the award-winning telenovela really understand and are supportive and protective of Teddy because they relate to his storyline.

The star, Sicelo Buthelezi, who plays the character tells Showmax he's very pleased that people are understanding his character, the situation he's in, and how he is, not just the funny part of him, but the soft side of him.

He currently works as a taxi driver and will push for his marshal at the taxi rank to let him go so he can live his dream.
