LEARNING, SELLING AND NETWORKING: BVE 2014 TICKED ALL THE BOXES 11 Mar 2014

BVE 2014, the essential event for content creation professionals, welcomed over 15,000 visitors this year. With busy aisles and standing room only at many of the free seminars, visitors and exhibitors alike enjoyed a vibrant, informative and forward-looking show with plenty of new technology to experience and knowledge to gain and share.

Pre-audited figures placed footfall at over 15,000, roughly on a par with the 2013 show. The number of international visitors increased by more than 30% on figures from last year's show, and repeat visits also increased.

Exhibitors welcomed a wide variety of high quality, knowledgeable visitors with serious purchasing intentions.

Simon Kenning, Roland Systems Group, said, We have met a diverse range of high quality buyers and we have gained a lot of interest in our live streaming products.

Zia Hussan, Business Development Manager, PNY, commented, We've got a lot of contacts from different backgrounds and areas which is great, so BVE offers a fantastic variety. Three words to define the exhibition: variety, innovative and busy.

Jack Wrangham, Director, Remote Aerial Ops, said, Last year we came to the exhibition as visitors and we thought that is the right place for us to exhibit. By lunch time on the second day we generated so many leads and new business that [we] covered the cost of the stand.

Visitors also enjoyed the opportunities to network, see the latest technology and learn from industry experts.

David Godwin, Principal Broadcast Engineer, Red Bee Media, said, I've been coming for a couple of years to the show and it is always the perfect place to be in contact with the industry and find the relevant content.

Roger Wedlake, Technical Director, Hyperactive Broadcast, said, I come to BVE because it represents the biggest show in UK and I've the opportunity to catch up with other colleagues. [It provides] all the relevant content that industry needs under one roof.

Emily Bottoni, Production Assistant, said, One of the main reasons to attend the show is the opportunity that BVE offers to learn about new products and find new ideas. The seminars have such relevant content that you can't miss them, it's a big opportunity for visitors to keep up date with the future of the industry.

BVE 2015 will take place at ExCeL London from 24-26 February 2015.
