Burgeoning kid's cross-platform network, batteryPOP, has added the new web series, Dan Zanes and Friends, featuring Grammy-winning family music talent Dan Zanes. Dan Zanes and his Friends perform exuberant, handmade 21st Century social tunes for enthusiastic family crowds. They occupy a unique place in American music where sea shanties, English music hall, North American and West Indian folk music, Mexican son jarocho, the spirit of early rock-and-roll and soulful originals collide.
The youthful series features Dan Zanes and his collaborators, and their fun music-infused adventures: songs, snack, friendship and no drama.
About Dan Zanes:
For more than a decade, Grammy Award-winner Dan Zanes has been presenting his musical friends to the world with his original albums, introducing new songs and reconnecting people to songs that have always been there, and still are-it's just that the people forget about them. Referred to as the family-music genre's most outspoken and eloquent advocate by Time Magazine, his widely-acclaimed music has been featured on Sesame Street, Playhouse Disney, Nickelodeon, and most recently on HBO Family and Sprout.
