Leeroy (played by JT Medupe) is mourning his lover, Mthetho (Kabomo Vilakazi) in e.tv's Smoke and Mirrors.

LEEROY: FUNERAL OUTFIT Smoke and Mirrors actor JT Medupe plays the fan-favourite gay character of Leeroy who just buried his fianc Mthetho.

Leeroy was engaged to be married to Mtheto, who got killed by Thandiswa (Ayanda Bandla) at the end of season one. Mthetho died on Thandiswa and Caesar's wedding day on Friday, 12 April.

The Emnyameni community held a funeral service for Mthetho last week, who was a fan-favourite police officer.

Leeroy showed up at Mthetho's funeral dressed in what appeared to be a wedding outfit. Fans of the telenovela predict that he's wearing an outfit he was supposed on his wedding day.

The former Generations: The Legacy recently took to X to rubbish reports that his Smoke and Mirrors character has been written out.

This comes after a fan of the show, @dima_onzima asked: Is it true that you're also getting rid of Leeroy soon?

The actor @jtmedupe replied: Sorry to disappoint you but it's not true.

Actor Kabomo Vilakazi's character was a police officer in the fictional town called Emnyameni. He was the second actor to leave the show at the end of season one after Zolisa Xaluva who played the first Caesar got replaced by Hlomla Dandala.

JT MEDUPE: PREVIOUS TV ROLE The Smoke and Mirrors star JT Medupe is also famously known for his role as Jonathan Motene in SABC1's Generations: The Legacy.

Medupe was also a presenter in SABC1's kiddies show YoTV and SABC1's legal drama Sokhulu & Partners as Tebogo Mxotwa.

TVSA reports that the actor and TV presenter also secured a role in Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville as Mdu.

The TV personality and actor also portrayed the role of Siyabonga in S3's canned soapie, Isidingo.
