Now Shipping, Elegant Keypad Includes a New Selection of Faceplate Covers and Buttons, in Addition to Custom Engraving Options for Improved Aesthetics and Simplified Operation SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Oct. 2, 2012 - Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) announced today that it is now shipping the RKM-1 , the latest version of its award-winning RKM-1 multi-room audio keypad. The RKM-1 boasts the same elegant design, two-way feedback capability, and direct IR control as its predecessor, while adding a higher level of customization by including a new selection of faceplate covers and hard buttons. In addition, the selected source lens is interchangeable, and dealers can even create their own custom lens by using the RTI Laser Shark custom engraving service. The result is more simplified control and a more refined look for any residential or commercial multi-room system.
Easily blending into the decor of its installed environment, the RKM-1 ships with white, black, and light almond faceplate covers, and can be used with any standard Decora -type wallplate. The keypad is sized for a single gang electrical box to provide a flush fit within walls, or to be hidden away in cabinets.
Programming the RKM-1 is simple with RTIs award-winning Integration Designer software, which provides a multitude of advanced tools for complete customization. When used with RTIs two-way compatible control processors, the RKM-1 can communicate bi-directionally with almost any multi-zone receiver or distributed audio system, providing users with feedback on processes such as power status, selected sources, and volume levels. The keypad can also directly control most A/V devices from up to 1,000 feet away via an infrared output port, which allows it to function in nearly any location within a home or commercial facility.
