The 4K Summit teaches the world how will be the future of Ultra high definition television El Polo de Contenidos Digitales convierte durante estos d as a M laga en la capital mundial de la Ultra Alta Definici n con la presencia de una veintena de expertos que comparten experiencias con trescientos profesionales profesionales de todo el mundo.
El alcalde de M laga, Francisco de la Torre, fue el encargado de abrir el principal encuentro internacional de profesionales de la industria de la Ultra Alta Definici n, la 4K Summit, que re ne a expertos de 20 pa ses entre los que se encuentran representantes de la Agencia Espacial de Estados Unidos (NASA), Telef nica o Samsung.
La 4K Summit, que ha completado el aforo con m s de 300 inscritos, es el nico evento que re ne a los grandes especialistas tecnol gicos y de contenidos de la Ultra Alta Definici n para compartir experiencias en un encuentro multidisciplinar de m ximo nivel. La cumbre est organizada por Medina Medina con Panorama Audiovisual como main media partner
La conferencia inaugural ha estado a cargo del presidente de Phone Spain, Luis Miguel Gilp rez. En su ponencia inaugural Gilp rez ha se alado que con Movistar+ los clientes eligen qu , cu ndo y c mo ver los contenidos, cambiando as la forma en la que los espa oles ven la televisi n. Con respecto al 4K, el presidente de Telef nica ha se alado que desean impulsar el mercado y para 2018, su compa a tendr los primeros set-top boxes en 4K. Adem s, el a o pr ximo gran parte de los contenidos se producir n en 4K, tanto en deportes como en ficci n, haciendo un esfuerzo para que el 4K eclosione en Espa a y nuestro pa s sea un referente en la creaci n de contenidos en 4K.
Los pasos que est dando este sector cara a mejorar la experiencia visual de los usuarios han sido enumerados por Nacho Monge, marketing manager de audio y v deo de Samsung Espa a, que tambi n ha repasado la evoluci n de los formatos de v deo, as como las tecnolog as 4K y UHD.
Monge ha anticipado algunas innovaciones recientes de Samsung, que ya est n presentes en la nueva categor a de televisores QLED TV que la firma ha lanzado este a o al mercado. Michel Chabrol, vicepresidente de Nuevos formatos de Televisi n, ha presentado en la 4K Summit el Ultra #HD Eutelsat TV Observatory que recoge que en este momento existen en todo el mundo un centenar de canales que ya est n ofreciendo servicios Ultra HD /4K a trav s de sat lite, aunque el 4K est a n lejos de lograr la penetraci n que tiene el HD.
Por su parte, el consultor de IHS Markit Paul Gray desglos el mercado del 4K desde un punto de vista global. Carlos Fontanot, jefe de im genes de la Estaci n Espacial Internacional dependiente de la NASA, abri la jornada de tarde del primer d a detallando los procesos de la NASA para aplicar la m s avanzada tecnolog a de televisi n en el espacio.
Los deportes, de la mano de Peter Hutton, CEO de Eurosport, tomaron el relevo en el audit rium del Polo de Contenidos Digitales de M laga, quien junto a posteriormente Fernando Ruiz, redactor jefe de Eurosport Espa a y Guillermo Jim nez, director de sistemas de emisi n de OBS, hablaron de c mo afronta la cadena la pr xima retransmisi n de los Juegos Ol mpicos de Invierno en Corea del Sur y mostr un avance de la serie documental, producida por Medina Media para Eurosport, Rumbo a Pyeongchang'.

El f tbol en 4K de MediaPro, con Emili Planas sigui dando car cter deportivo a las ponencias vespertinas, demostrando que estos contenidos son una de las locomotoras de la implantaci n del 4K UHD. RTVE y su propuesta 4K cerr la primera jornada de ponencias en la 4KSummit. Una extensa delegaci n encabezada por el director de La 2, Juan Manuel Hidalgo, mostraron todos sus proyectos en 4K como empresa que marca la vanguardia tecnol gica y de contenidos en Espa a en Ultra Alta Definici n.
La 4K Summit y la Selecci n Espa ola, ambas con el patrocinio de Movistar, unieron el f tbol y las nuevas tecnolog as durante todo el d a en el Polo de Contenidos Digitales de M laga. Todos los asistentes pudieron fotografiarse con las cuatro copas de la Selecci n: la copa del mundo y las tres eurocopas.
Los asistentes est n pudiendo seguir las sesiones con una realizaci n din mica y multipantalla desde el Auditorium, gracias a Sono, Tech Partner de la 4K Summit por tercer a o consecutivo, y desde la sala de proyecci n equipada con el proyector 4K HDR de Canon.
Segunda jornada
Durante la jornada del jueves, Michael Zink, presidente de la Alianza mundial de la UHD (Ultra Alta Definici n) y vicepresidente de Tecnolog a de Warner, ha expuesto el trabajo de la alianza para fomentar el desarrollo normalizado y coordinado de la Ultra Alta Definici . Zink hizo un repaso de los par metros t cnicos que condicionar n la experiencia en el consumidor fruto de un minucioso estudio con un centenar usuarios de cara a conocer sus h bitos de consumo con respecto a la UHD.
Por su parte, el productor de la Divisi n de Desarrollo Global de Contenidos de la NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation), Hidenobu Miyazaki, sorprendi a todos con algunas demostraciones de las ltimas producciones que el broadcaster japon s est realizando en 4K y 8K.
Adem s de las ponencias, la 4K Summit ofrece una zona de exhibici n donde Sony, Nokia, Fujifilm and Rohde&Schwarz, entre otros, ofrecen talleres de acceso gratuito para profesionales.
Como otra de las novedades de este a o, la 4K Summit ofrece un rea de mercado para que los productores espa oles aprovechen la oportunidad de tener en M laga a altos ejecutivos de las empresas de contenido para explorar posibilidades de co-producciones, especialmente europeas.
