German company to open showroom at the British production hub

German lighting specialist SUMOLIGHT will open a 2,000 square foot facility at Elstree Studios, aiming to target the booming British production community.
The accessible ground floor space provides clients with staff, technicians and engineers, alongside 24/7 support, said the company. The showroom offers filmmakers the chance to test the company's existing LED products, which include SUMOSPACE and SUMOSKY, as well as upcoming solutions.
The location is to be run by CEO Simon Evans, an expert in contemporary broadcast and cinema lighting with more than two decades of experience in the field. He will be joined by operations manager Patrick Patch' Cave.
From the first time I saw the SUMOSPACE, the colour quality and output vividly impressed me, said Evans. Then watching the SUMOSKY deployed in studios in early 2021, along with a number of SUMOSPACE+ units, really brought home the close integration of the SUMOLIGHT family.

SUMOLIGHT UK Ltd has been formed as a one-stop shop solution for the UK and EU markets, said SUMOLIGHT MD Tim Zur. This branch will work with key partners to ensure smooth sales support and service of all SUMOLIGHT products, as well as a site for hands-on activities, workshops, training and technical lab sessions and other business and social events.
