OTTAWA, Sept. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Espial, a leader in on-demand TV software and solutions, today announced that the Espial STB Client, including its RDK Application Framework and user experience products, has been named to the 2014 Diamond Technology Reviews Elite by Broadband Technology Report (BTR).
Company's UX and RDK Application Framework receive 4.0 Diamond Technology Review Ranking
OTTAWA, Sept. 10, 2014 /CNW/ Espial, a leader in on-demand TV software and solutions, today announced that the Espial STB Client, including its RDK Application Framework and user experience products, has been named to the 2014 Diamond Technology Reviews Elite by Broadband Technology Report (BTR). The Espial STB Client was recognized by the judging panel for defining a product that delivers efficient development and customization of the user experience. It was also recognized for giving operators an advanced alternative to the currently deployed set-top box user interfaces.
The Diamond Technology Reviews bring out the best in class' products for our industry, said Tom Gorman, Diamond Technology Review Program. Once again, we had a strong panel of judges, who recognized the great effort that Espial has made to improve the consumer user experience. These are the solutions that keep us on the leading edge.
The 10th annual Diamonds recognize the industry's top products and solutions available to the cable industry as determined by a panel of cable telecommunications engineering experts from the cable MSOs and vendors.
The Espial STB Client based on HTML5 and RDK extends the capabilities of RDK with an application framework and user experience framework to provide a common application engine for MSOs. This ensures that MSOs can achieve Web speed designing and deploying the richest, highest performance user experiences possible across a wide range of set-top-box platforms-from legacy platforms to home gateways.
